This 3-doll Barbie & Friends set is hard to find and simply a must-have for the 1980s Barbie collector. I'd even venture to say it's a great gift for the 1980s fan in general, based on these dolls' outfits. It's really fun and cute.All three dolls have facial screening like the Dream Date series. Lovely Barbie is similar to Dream Date Barbie, only dressed in casual knits. Her knit skirt and striped top include matching leg warmers, typical of the 1980s era. Ken is very close to Dream Date Ken, casual in his pink tee and almost parachute trousers in burgundy.The real reason to buy this set is for the gorgeous and unique PJ doll inside. She is a lovely Steffie sculpt with beautiful facial screening, similar to Dream Date PJ. She's dressed in a lovely navy and white striped sundress with a fuchsia sash, and includes a hat. She's just lovely, and is a must-have for every Steffie fan's collection.One thing to consider about this box (for mint box collectors) is that because the plastic film in the front is so large, it almost always is unglued a little in the front. It's a pink box and wasn't intended for collector quality. Just ask about the condition before you buy. Or even better, buy it and debox the dolls!
